Although Lake Coeur d'Alene was a scenic place, we are happy to be in Washington State. Our travels took us past the Coolee Dam where we learned about the unique geology of this area. Heading west, we drove through acres of fruit groves and sampled some of the early local peaches.
Tonight we are camped in the foothills of the Cascades, and taking time to catch up on laundry and restoring our energies. We hope to find space at Mount Rainier National Park for the next two nights. Wish us luck...there are many more campers on the road this year.
