Del Rio on the Rio Grande

Arrived in DelRio, Texas this afternoon. This small town is an oasis in the middle of sagebrush country. The river provides moisture for the trees and a respite from the 90 degree heat. Tomorrow, it's on to Big Bend National Park (where wi-fi will not be available). DelRio is one of the safest towns on the border and known as a place where cancer patients arrive to cross to Mexico for untested alternative treatments.
