Desert Travels

We left California through the Mojave Desert. Temperatures were as high as 107 degrees, and the scenery reminiscent of an old western movie. Our campsite was very plain, but did have electricity to run the air-conditioner. We send a fond goodbye to California: a very diverse and beautiful state. I was surprised by the rich agricultural industries. After driving past groves of almond trees, we stopped at a fruit and nut market to sample the goods.
