The Grand Canyon is a marvel. The north rim is less crowded and has more vegetation. We enjoyed the day visit, then traveled on to Zion National Park. Zion is a red rock canyon in southern Utah. Our campground -- inside the park -- had electricity. What a luxury, as the temperatures were near 100 degrees. Zion has a shuttle bus that runs every 6 minutes to transport visitors to scenic spots. We hiked, listened to park ranger talks and enjoyed the star filled night sky.
