Our travels through the Maritimes will end tomorrow...time to share some of our experiences. We drove into New Brunswick from Maine and stopped at the Fundy Provincial Park where we found a beautiful waterfalls. A highlight of the NB tour was a visit to the Hopewell Rocks, where we walked on the ocean floor at low tide. This area experiences gigantic tides -- up to 40 feet in places. The next day we returned to the same spot a high tide and the rocks were just visible. A feature of the Fundy Bay area is watching the tidal bore - when the river rises from nothing to full in less than an hour.

Prince Edward Island welcomed us via the Confederation Bridge. We enjoyed Cavendish with its red sands and cliffs. The Island is peaceful, pastoral and lovely. On to Nova Scotia via ferry boat, which is a 75 minute crossing. The highlight of Nova Scotia is a drive along the Cabot Trail to see the Atlantic Ocean from tall, steep cliffs.

Tomorrow it's Au Revoir to the Maritimes.
