We chose a ride to the top of Pikes Peak via a cog railroad. Much better than the white-knuckle drive on partially paved roads with a steep incline. It was 42 degrees at the top but the view was magnificent. Colorado is enjoying springtime...depending on the altitude. Toward the top of the mountain, the aspen trees are bare. At 8000 feet, the buds appear on the trees and 6500 feet the leaves are full.
Tomorrow, we plan to visit a church in Woodland Park...then on toward Estes Park.
