We have arrived in Colorado. Blue sky, red rocks and green trees...this is good living. This trip is a visit to America's gorges. From the Rio Grande river gorge in New Mexico (a medium sized river that carves its way through black rocks) to the Royal Gorge in Colorado (fast moving Arkansas river cuts through 1600 ft of red rock). We walked across the suspension bridge, then took the incline railway to the base, and finished with a tram ride across the divide. Spectacular!
The final gorge on our itinerary is the Grand Canyon (it's on our way home).
