Family Visit - Indiana and Illinois

Kyle Reid (Dick's 14 year old grandson) joined us for a two day camping adventure. Our campsite was in Turkey Run State Park, near Mitchell, Indiana. We experienced all the traditional camping activities - campfire, hiking and card games. Dick and Kyle went on a 6 mile canoe trip down the Sugar Creek, surviving the occasional hazards of downed tree limbs from recent floods. This was Kyle's first camping trip; he enjoyed the new adventure, but was glad to return to the comforts of home.

Our second stop was to see Dick's daughter in Jacksonville, Illinois. Arriving on a Friday afternoon, before Resa returned home from work, we set up camp in her backyard. Jacksonville is an older town, close to Springfield, Illinois.

Next stop is to see family in Iowa: Cedar Rapids, Urbandale, and Orange City. Weather forcasts predict 90 degree weather, with few showers on the horizon. Perfect summertime corn-growing climate.

Marge, I know you would like to forgot that you parked in a neighbor`s driveway for a hour before discovering this was not Resa House. Oh My!!
