Texas Hill Country

Texans brag about the vast space in this State, and they are right. We left Houston and drove to a State Park north of Austin. This is "hill country" with lakes formed by dams. The hot weather is tolerable with live oaks spreading shade at the lake shore. A relaxing place to be with almost 50 or more Winnebago View owners camping in the same park. Today's agenda is a riverboat cruise that may be shortened as the drought has narrowed the river to a stream.
