Vineyards in Texas

The patio at Fall Creek Vineyard offers relaxation and respite from the heat of summer. Texas grapevines have suffered from a bug that killed many of the oldest vines. Wine is made from shiploads of fresh grapes brought to the winery from the area.
Texas Hill Country is northwest of Austin where dam filled lakes and oak trees fill the countryside.
Today, it's a canoe adventure before joining the rally group for pot luck picnic. My contribution to the picnic will be a tomato-avacado salad (receipe from Anne).
