California travels from Redwoods to Pacific Coast to Vinelands - in one day. We began in a Redwood State Park and continued to the Mendicino Coast, where seals were basking in the sun. Driving inland, we experienced acres of vineyards. The brown hills in the background gave a touch of spendor to the pristine acres of grapevines.
Our temperature hit 111 degrees today in Sacramento. The dry heat is uncomfortable...thank goodness for air conditioning.
